Free Iobit complete system care

Advanced SystemCare is IObit's free version of their robust SystemCare tools. SystemCare incorporates multiple utility tools that help speed up the performance of your computer, including cleaning old temporary files that can be causing performance degradation. The new AI mode can intelligently clean your PC according to your usage habits.

Advanced SystemCare has numerous features that can be helpful for both the average and extensive PC users. Unfortunately, many features are locked behind the paid version; thus, if you're looking for additional functionality, you might find Total System Care or Wise Care to cover your needs.

PC Optimization within your control

Users are immediately greeted with a large scan button in the center of the application, which allows you to conduct a simple, quick scan. Advanced SystemCare will then suggest fixes based on what it has found within your system. These are typically junk files, created shortcuts or start-up items that you may not know are active.

Users have multiple optimization tools at their disposal, including other tools designed to safeguard your online surfing and browser tracking. However, some of these features require you to upgrade to their next available package. Annoyingly, these features are still highlighted on the free version itself.

Turbo boost helps halt background processes slowing down your PC, and the Advanced SystemCare updater notifies you when software on your device requires updating. We couldn't see much use for the software updater as it couldn't find all of the relevant updates needed, but it can be a quick way to pick up on something you previously missed. Finally, users can use Deep Optimization, which performs a series of system optimizations.

It can be pretty challenging to see Advanced SystemCare's true impact on your device at face value. If you've been neglecting your PC's health for a while, then you may immediately notice a difference in its performance once running a scan.

On the other hand, performance change may go unnoticed if you have a device that hasn't been used to download multiple applications. Mileage may vary with standard use PCs, but the functionality offered here can be a real boon for those in an office environment where files are consistently shared between devices.

Intrusive advertising from the outset

While Advanced SystemCare's functionality is useful for many applications, the same cannot be said for their advertising process. Users experience this first hand during the initial installation after dodging multiple 3rd party software download recommendations. These pop-ups, while annoying, are easy to spot for a user that regularly downloads software.

However, this practice would largely go unnoticed by users who infrequently face these installation processes. Thus, a predatory model for installing unwanted programs onto users' computers. Additionally, the software continuously pushes for a premium upgrade through its locked functionality and in-app banners ads.

Ease of use and additional information

Advanced SystemCare has an easy-to-use, modern-looking interface that is friendly and allows for quick access. The scan button is front and center for those only interested in the scan feature. Other options are available to change and use for those more adept to their desired effect.

It is important to note that it can be challenging to acknowledge when something is a valuable function or simply a button to install another IObit product, so caution is needed before selecting something that isn't clearly labeled.

Finally, sometimes there can be a disconnect between the information received and the initial scan function's usefulness. For example, System optimization improvements may pull a quick list of optimizations to be made. Still, some of these can be a random string that doesn't mean anything to the average user, forcing the user to blindly accept and hope for the best.

Optimisation, with a little extra

IObit's Advanced SystemCare has many tools at its disposal to aid in the optimization and performance of your device. As a free tool, it accomplishes everything it sets out to do, and even running it once as a check-up should prove beneficial.

However, be sure to install only the correct application and not the other 3rd party downloads the installer throws at you.

FRAUD!!!!. "FRAUD"Very bad system. I ran the software 2 times and each time it came back with more errors than I had originally. Then it recommended that I buy another update program for $14.95. I called the customer service number and a guy in another country tried to remote into my computer. I denied that access and demanded a refund. He argued with me stating that the software isn't working because I wouldn't let him into my computer. I requested a refund and a confirmation email for the refund. He said that I would get it in 5 min. While waiting, my computer froze and crashed. After 20 minutes I call the support line and spoke with a lady in another foreign country and she hung up on me. I called again and talked to another lady who transferred me to her supervisor who said that I would get an immediate email. I waited approximately 1 hour and no email confirmation of cancellation. I had to call my bank and cancel my card because they had my information and this company is a fraud.

elaborate rubbish. rubbish. I bought the Ultimate version after reading an "expert" review by a computer magazine editor who was probably paid handsomely for his "independent" review. I installed and ran it, did all the tweaks and fine tuning and after a day of trialling it quickly learned the hard way that it actually slowed my computer down and made internet speeds noticeably slower not faster. I have asked for a full refund. So much for the "experts" writing for these magazines. Pros: nothing Cons: plenty of room for improvement because the product doesn't work.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
